Hi Megan,  I know nothing about AI, but I see it all over in headlines and such.  I am interested to hear what others, especially the younger shop owners who know more about this, how do they plan to use it?  I am curious in our specialized and personal industry, does AI really have the ability to help with efficiency?  For me, I see the opportunity in the artwork side.  Ia m not an artist, and hunt and peck my way through CorelDraw.  If AI could help me make amazing graphics for my customers, that look like professional artist might do, than tell me more!

So far, we've used AI mostly in marketing - enhancing photos of products and people with cool backgrounds and such and also getting assistance with clever headlines and verbiage for newsletters. I can see us using it soon in the product design process, especially some of the custom plaques we make. There may be tools out there already we haven't discovered but I know one of our graphic artists noted that as soon as AI tools can convert bad art to good vector art, her role here will change or potentially be eliminated.

Right now I find myself having to use two or three tools to put together and schedule some social media posts. It feels inefficient. I expect some of those inefficiencies will get ironed out as improved tools are introduced.

I haven't yet seen AI applications for other aspects of our business operations - HR, payroll, financial management - but I suspect they are out there or are in development.

Last night we stopped at a fast food place on our way to a meeting. When my husband walked up to the counter to place the order, the person at the counter told him they don't take orders in person anymore and directed him to a few kiosks set up at the other side of the room. That concerns me, not just for the fast food industry or potentially our industry, but for our society.

I've been using AI to write common response templates for my emails. I then copy paste them when and where I might need them. I've done this for Order Acknowledgement, Invoices, Proofs, and I used it to help my write my about me section in my bio. Overall I've used it so far for things that most people I would assume already have in place like these templates. My company however didn't have any of these yet when I purchased last year.
