I am in Michigan and looking for a company that does bronze cast plaques, has the option of a smooth background and reasonable in price.

Matthews International or ARK Ramos do great work but consider cast aluminum over bronze for a lot less money. They can finish aluminum to look just like "bronze."

Edie, do you have more specifications on the plaque? Size and thickness, design and is it an interior or exterior application? If it is 3D and sculpted the cost is more expensive than a 2D plaque. Gemini out of Minnesota offers an engineered plaque option. Grandview Aluminum I believe is still in business and they are out of Indiana who makes aluminum plaques. 

Catania Medallic offers an etched zinc based alloy and then plated in a bronze finish. The design would need to be 2D and a maximum size of 24" x 35.5" x .125" thick.
