  • 1.  CorelDraw Hotkeys with Gaming Mouse

    Posted 21 hours ago

I grew up playing MMO video games and I bought an MMO gaming mouse for work so that my hotkeys were more easily accessible, and so that I didn't have to take my right hand off the mouse as often. I've used this mouse for about two years and it works great for me, but I know I could do more.

I'm interested in adding more hotkeys in Coreldraw to improve overall speed while designing and setting up art. Are there any that I'm missing out on that I should be using that you don't see on my list?

For those of you that have never used this type of mouse before let me explain.

If you click 1-12 it corresponds to the first column (B),  holding Ctrl and clicking a number corresponds to that hotkey under the Ctrl column (C) etc. So if I need to center an item to the center of the Corel page I left click the item/object and then hold shift and click 9 on my mouse. I don't have to remove my hand from the mouse to click P,  which is the default hotkey for center to page while in Corel. It takes getting used to, and I don't recommend adding more than a few hotkeys at once otherwise they don't become second nature.

    Harrison,

What a terric concept.   Of course you'd add the tools you use most to the few blanks you have left, but if it were me, I'd add Combine Nodes & Break Apart Nodes; those are the most annoying to me to have to stop and move mouse to find on the icon bar.
