Hello!   I have a hydraulic press I wanted to put into use for Debossing is there a go to place to  buy Die's to use for this purpose or should I be figuring out how to make die's on my Epilog Laser Engraver?   As you can tell I know next to nothing about what I'm doing here lol!

Thanks for any help in advance!   Cheers & Happy Holidays!    Bill Lindsell    Access Uniforms INK

Different applications use different material types.

If you need brass with high relief call NBC Engraving 201-387-8011

When we first started out and were doing foil imprinting primarily, we use the Augustine Company for our dies. They may be able to help.

    William,

We used a pneumatic, high pressure press, to emboss and deboss on apparel, denim jackets and some leather products.

All of our dies were purchased from a company called Owosso Graphic Arts. Brass Dies for Embossing, Debossing | Owosso Graphics

I cannot say enough about their quality and knowledge of the debossing/embossing art. They will educate you on sizes, relief tolerances, and do's and don'ts!

If you come up with a design, send it to them and ask for their recommendations.

This is a niche market! Because of the die cost, a large number of products need to be made to offset the die cost!

Our market could not bear this cost. We sold our machine and dies to a company that wanted to add this process to their product line!

If you have any questions, I would be happy to try to answer them. Our debossing attempt lasted for about 2 years!
Our suggestion would be: Be Good..... and be expensive!

    Good Luck!

    Mike
