    I am looking for a laser engravable brass doner leaf supplier.  We have a request for about a hundred of these leaves engraved.  I can't seem to find them from our usual suppliers.  Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi Kim,

    Not sure if you looked at Gemini yet.  They finally have the ID Plates catalog back up online and it looks like some leaves are available here .

    Laser Engravable Brass? Do you mean colored brass? As far as I know, the only way to laser brass is with Cermark. That being said, we had JDS custom cut us black brass leaves and the price was extremely reasonable. Gabel & Schubert still carries standard donor leaves in gold, silver and bronze brass.

    We have a dual laser.  We can engrave brass with the fiber laser.  Thank you for suggesting the custom cut.  I had not considered that.

    I have black laser steel that lasers very well. I have several leaf shapes or can make up custom from part or sketch..

    To cut out the shapes I use my Quest router. I cut the material from reverse side to keep face from any marking. I use typically a 2mm or 2.5mm 1 fluted end mill.

    I can cut lacquer coated brass, but laser marking is not so good. The Black Laser Steel is easy to CO2 laser and results are bright crisp gold lettering/design.
