Hi All,

Quick question for who you all use for email hosting.  I have been using Hostgator for email for the past 5 or so years and over the past couple of months my emails are not getting delivered or if they are delivered to Gmail and a couple of other domains, it automatically goes to spam.  Every time I call, they tell me the issue has been fixed but it seems to go in waves and I cannot deal with this any longer.

Who do you use?  Has anyone else switched recently and had to deal with saving old emails and transferring them to a new service?  Look forward to hearing any insight.

Hi Josh,
We use gmail. We have the same problems. There is a site where you can put in your addresses and it will tell you how many email servers have you blacklisted. Then you can apply to get your address whitelisted. I have not done it for years but the last time I did I was able to get whitelisted on all but 2. I think our messages landing in spam is the result of multiple factors. It's not just your provider but also the recipients. You can turn on read receipts and know when your recipient reads your message. When we learn our message went to spam we ask them to mark us as a safe sender. Some do, some don't. In Norfolk most don't know how to. I think texting is the way to go. Everyone gets their texts. We are working on how to implement texting for communication - especially on proofs- because email has so many variables we can't control.
