Hello, APA Community!

We purchased our business, Randall Trophies, in September of this year. The business has been using hand-written sales receipts and has used a manual process for all of its business operations (except the books, which has used Quickbooks Online). We are looking to make a transition to move all of our operations electronic and are seeking any feedback on enterprise solutions that have worked well to encompass all or most of the following operations: omnichannel sales, production tracking through the production process, inventory management, ordering management, and accounting. We have done some initial research for general options but thought it best to seek feedback from those who have already undertaken this process. Thank you for sharing what has worked well for you!

Congratulations on purchase.  There are not many options made for the awards industry for smaller shops (less than 10 employees).  Biz wizard seems to be the most popular option for smaller award/trophy shops. Quick books is another option I have heard some people use.

Also if your store front is still the same as what is on google street view I would recommend updating your sign.

I recently purchased my company in June of this year and have been working on the same thing. I've been using Sage which has every feature that my store needed to move from paper to digital. I think that it is complex but once you are working out of it I can't imagine going back to paper. A large amount of the suppliers in APA are also on Sage, but I will say not all of them.

Welcome to APA!!!! We also used hand written order, receipts, billing until 2010..........We switched to BizWiz October of that year, and it is a game changer!!!!  I'd say the 1st year takes some time to get all the info in, product (that is specific to your shop) and whatever else you do to customize. But come repeat orders, you start to see the real-time value. Everything is just so much more streamlined and if used properly, all your info, proofs, track stock, orders - it's all at your fingertips. I think it's the most important update to our business we've made. We do still use quickbooks for some aspects because it works for us (LOL).  I hope you plan on attending the EXPO, We'd love to meet up and talk shop if you'd like!!  Congrats on the business and welcome :-)
