A question for those of you that have a fiber laser and use it to mark/engrave brass. How do you hold the sheet brass down on the laser? Our older fiber laser had a steel bed we would use magnets to hold it down. The new laser has a bed that is not magnetic. Often on a piece of brass an edge will lift up slightly and the engraving goes out of focus. Anyone else experience this? If so can you tell how you deal with it. We're trying tape right now.
I use little pieces of clear double sided, if you put big pieces you can bend the material trying to get it up. Focus is so critical on my Epilog.
Have you ever tried a Seklama Mat. We use for rotary engraving and on our laser engraving.
