It's been a while since I posted on here. Just wondering if we are the only business that is experiencing lower sales. We can account for some of the reasons for  being behind last year. Last March we had a very large order from a customer we had never done any business with and one of our regular customers had to cut back on a annual order due to a unique situation. But even accounting for that we are done from last year. Just wondering if we're the only ones.

    Dave,

    You are certainly not alone!

Covid has kicked our butts! We are finding out that some of our "lack of business" has come from

many of our small accounts, going out of business! They did not go somewhere else to purchase, they just cease to exist! This

has been very difficult to overcome.  I'm getting too old to start over, but we are gaining on our losses very quickly.

Thank goodness, my business has a great school, athletic and corporate base, and that we survived the worst financial downfall in our

     history.

Being old has its advantages, in that, our 52-year-old base, has allowed us to diversify and connect with many new accounts.

We are posting more on social media, and just trying to put our name out into the community.

I truly believe that I will not see our corporation reach the financial peak that we were at. This is OK. The important issues now,

are to make sure that the new accounts that we attain.... make us money!  Our Covid downturn was as much a disaster for us, as

a reawakening. Re-evaluate all of the old and new accounts. Contact them often. Offer them incentives. Treat them special!

The fact that you are asking about this temporary loss, means that you are concerned with your business's growth. I would look at

your stability first and then worries about more growth. You made it this far. That is a feat that many businesses cannot boast about.

Good Luck! I know that you will do very well!
