  • 1.  stacking of pre-cut plaque plates bought from supplier

    Posted 10-18-2023 13:54

hi all, not sure where to post this. Over the years we have piled up a bunch of pre-cut plaque plates, various sizes such as 5" by 7", 6"X8" etc. just curious as to how others store them etc. Mine are sort of all over the place at this point :)

Also, is there a link on this site that has pictures of other engravers showcasing their showroom, stock room etc. it would be great to see that :)

    Regards

    Nash

We store ours in a plastic bin.  They are stored vertically and sorted by size with labeled size dividers.  Works pretty well and it makes it easy to look for a specific plate.

We have never compiled a collection of pictures of showrooms, production areas and storage spaces.  With today's phone technology, it might be more beneficial to have a video walk-thru tour, explaining the different features of the operation.

I personally do not pre-cut plaque plates.  They have always been cut to order.  Pre-printed plaque plates are stored in stackable plastic bins by size.  This is not an item I inventory heavily, so things are easy for me to find.

Hi Nash. Ours are kept in plaque boxes and stored vertically on a long shelf. The part numbers are written on the edge of the box and then arranged in part number order. We've been around a looooong time and have quite the collection!

We use a 4 drawer file cabinet and put each style of plate in individual folders labeled with the plaque number and plate number. It works very well for us.

We cut plates as the orders come in.  But I think we have a great set up with our horizontal bins. They each have a cardboard label in them, plus a label on top and that prints off on our pick tickets.
