Any woodshop can make the base for you. The connection would best be made with a hanger bolt (machine thread on the bottom, lag thread into the top). Jim's suggetion of epoxy is a good one, as that cookie will surely move unless property kiln dried.

Thank You for your thoughts and ideas, I will keep looking for the base, so far I have not found one in the dimension the customer wants, but I'm sure it out there.

Michael
What we would do is drill a hole which will accept a 1.5" or 2" Rod, set the rod with epoxy, then attach to a base from one of the suppliers, JDS/MARCO/PDU ect. Since your cookies are large I would go with the larger bases.
Hope it is helpful

Subject: Tree Cookie (Round) Award Base Help Needed
Good Morning! I have a engraving project that I'm working on that requires the award, ( which is a 11-12" round Tree Cookie/ Round) be mounted on a base like the one shown here. I don't work with Trophy bases very much, and Im trying to figure out a solution to get the final engraved Tree Round mounted on base as shown in the picture. This is what the customer has requested. The base can be liquored black wood, or possibly acrylic as long as it gloss black, I understand that working with these round there will be variances in the round, such as thickness, and the OD of the rounds as well, Ideally Id like to come up with a base and post that works for all of them, IM hoping to get ideas from the community here, on how I can accomplish this, Im totally open to links on where to buy bases, and or bases with posts that will work, and or working with someone to have these (base only) produced and shipped directly to my shop so I can do the mounting, open to all that. Thanks!
